WBN / Technical evidence

Read the value with its conditions.

Model, revision, mode and measurement conditions belong together. This reference separates documented requirements from unresolved source gaps.

Six WBN Rev 1.0 documents provide 48 operating-mode rows. These are draft technical references. Five associated commercial records retain conflicting identity fields; none of these models has a released common WBN specification in this site.

Q28-100ZR-O22

WBN-Q28-100ZR-O22-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Documented condition Receive limits SC-FEC and RS-FEC retain separate receive limits. The unamplified sensitivity rows require OSNR >35 dB / 0.1 nm; preserve the stated condition.
Conditional limit Power and dispersion 5.5 W maximum applies to the C-temperature model. Extended dispersion adds approximately 0.2 W. Optical budget and dispersion are separate constraints.
Applicability boundary Ordering and route The active commercial mapping covers the C-temperature code. The separate industrial code and distance labels do not establish an additional released model or guaranteed amplified route.

Q56D-400ZR

WBN-Q56D-400ZR-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Source conflict Operating temperature The catalog states 0–70°C; Rev 1.0 states +15–75°C. No common operating range has been approved.
Missing test condition Receive sensitivity and OSNR Sensitivity test conditions and OSNR reference bandwidth are unstated in this source. An OSNR number cannot be used as a like-for-like margin without those conditions.
Rating distinction Receive envelope +1 dBm operating overload differs from absolute maximum +13 dBm signal / +15 dBm total input. The latter are damage-rating limits, not normal operating limits.

Q56D-400ZRP

WBN-Q56D-400ZRP-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Source conflict 200G power The headline maximum is 21.4 W. The documented application components are 19.6 W base + 0.2 W multiplexing + 0.6 W maximum-CD addition = 20.4 W. This arithmetic does not resolve which ceiling is applicable.
Missing test condition Receive sensitivity and OSNR Sensitivity test conditions and OSNR reference bandwidth are unstated. Keep each OSNR threshold attached to its receive-power condition.
Interoperability boundary Enhanced line modes Enhanced modes are not fully interoperable with the corresponding base OpenZR+ mode. Match the complete mode definition at both ends.

Q56D-400ZRP-HP

WBN-Q56D-400ZRP-HP-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Source anomaly Application 11 OSNR The published 1 dB penalty point is 20.5 dB at −19 dBm and is non-monotonic. Preserve the point as a source anomaly; do not interpolate a replacement.
Unresolved inclusion Maximum-CD power The document does not establish whether its separate 0.6 W maximum-CD addition is already included in the headline maximum.
Rating distinction Transmit output “Up to +1 dBm” is not a guaranteed minimum output. A minimum usable launch power has not been established by that statement.
Missing test condition Receive sensitivity and OSNR Sensitivity test conditions and OSNR reference bandwidth are unstated; enhanced-mode interoperability requires the exact peer mode.

O112-800ZR-OIF

WBN-O112-800ZR-OIF-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Missing mode attribute Line FEC and OSNR bandwidth The source does not specify FEC for every individual mode or the OSNR reference bandwidth. Do not fill either from a nominal standard name.
Conditional limit Power and dispersion Power assumes multiplexed host streams and the default CD range. The additional power at maximum CD is unquantified.
Interoperability boundary Media code 0xF2 The source identifies 0xF2 as non-MSA-compliant. Exact host and peer support remains a qualification requirement.
Rating distinction Start and receive limits −5°C ambient cold start is separate from the +15–75°C operating range. +1 dBm signal / +15 dBm total are absolute maximum inputs, not normal operating-overload ratings.

O112-800ZR-OR

WBN-O112-800ZR-OR-Datasheet-r1.0.pdf · Revision 1.0

Evidence state Topic How to use the reference
Missing mode attribute Line FEC and OSNR bandwidth Per-mode FEC and OSNR reference bandwidth are unstated in this source.
Interoperability boundary Model-specific media codes Only 0x68 is presented here as the standard OpenROADM 800G mode. Seven other rows use non-MSA-compliant codes. Codes such as 0xC0 and 0xC2 must not inherit another model’s definitions.
Conditional limit Power and dispersion Power assumes multiplexed host streams and default CD. Maximum-CD power increments are not quantified.
Rating distinction Start and receive limits −5°C ambient cold start is distinct from operation after self-heating to at least +15°C. Absolute maximum inputs do not define a normal receive envelope.

Keep qualification separate.

A source value is not evidence of host acceptance, interoperability or route qualification. Retain the exact endpoint configuration, measurement method, source revision and acceptance evidence. Where a condition is absent or contradictory, record it as unresolved.
